Rasmus Harsbo is a Ph.D. candidate at the Danish School of Education, Aarhus University. As part of the Asserting the Nation-project headed by Associate Professor Katja Brøgger, and funded by Independent Research Fund Denmark, he is working on developing a transnational analytical framework centered on the concept of neo-nationalism and investigating state-university relations in Polish and European higher education policy, including recent opposition against globalization and re-nationalizing trends in the wake of the Cold War.

Research interests: higher education and research institutions, nationalism, nation-state building, history of Poland, critical university studies.
