The Scholarly Communication Research Group is led by prof. Emanuel Kulczycki at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. The group was established in 2016 by the decision of the Head of the Institute of Philosophy. Our group is a research unit in the field of scholarly communication, research evaluation, science policy, and bibliometrics.
Our research on scholarly communication and research evaluation addresses all aspects of the knowledge dissemination. We study how the researches communicate their research and how scientific publications are evaluated, especially in the social sciences and the humanities. We are interested in what shapes publishing practices and how research evaluation systems transform the knowledge dissemination.
